The NGO “Academy of Family Medicine of Ukraine” together with the WHO Bureau in Ukraine continues to implement a project to enhance the capacity in training personnel for the primary care sector for the provision of services within the framework of humanitarian response in Ukraine.
In collaboration with educators from the departments of family medicine and training centers of Ukrainian medical universities from regions affected by military actions, another training session was held from October 11 to 13.
The trainers of the NGO “AFMU” prepared a training program on training methodology. They studied the competency-based approach and the stages of preparation and organization of training. They discussed the qualities of a trainer that make them effective and shared teaching methodologies for delivering information.
The first two days passed in an atmosphere of high-quality educational and teaching environment. On the third day, participants felt like students again and practiced ophthalmoscopy skills. They learned to operate the fundus camera, which will now become a tool for teaching students.
We continue our efforts for a common goal—to provide Ukrainians with quality medical care regardless of their location.
